Unveiling of Anniversary Sculptures on Campus

During a meeting of the Stichtse Vecht Entrepreneurs' Association (OSV) at Nyenrode on February 4th 2012, a sculpture group with the title of 'Tulpenvazen' (tulip vases) was unveiled. The group is one of five works of art that sculptor Pieter Kortekaas has loaned to Nyenrode for its anniversary. Kortekaas's works of art are a metaphor for the new direction in leadership and entrepreneurship. All the sculpture groups will be unveiled in the course of the anniversary year. Each unveiling will be attended by a different group of Nyenrode stakeholders. The unveilings are always connected to special anniversary activities.

During the meeting of the Stichtse Vecht Entrepreneurs' Association, MSc in Management students who have performed assignments with companies connected with the OSV gave an account of their findings. Lecturer Edgar Karssing also discussed a number of dilemmas entrepreneurs face. The university's carilloneur Jan Willem Achterkamp performed his own composition in honor of the work of art and explained about this composition and the Nyenrode carillon.
